A few facts from the webinar
A Spanish study conducted at the Barcelona University Clinic in 2020 showed that vitamin D - calciferol can be especially helpful in today's viral infections. It has contributed to a high percentage of mortality from serious viral diseases. It should also be noted that in the first days of hospitalization, when an infected patient received a dose of 10,000 IU of vitamin D on the first day, it helped the body to stabilize its vital functions and thus prevent deterioration and transition to more severe stages.
The most effective form of vitamin D - calciferol is vit.D3 - cholecalciferol. After absorption through the peyer's patches in the small intestine, it enters the bloodstream, where it is transformed into hydroxycholecalciferol, or more simply calcifediol. It then goes to the kidneys, where it is transformed into 1,25 dihydroxycholecalciferol, or more simply calcitriol or alpha D3. Only after this transformation does it become a biologically active form, which the organism can fully use for many metabolic processes, as well as for its protection.
